The inaugural Negroni Week “Team Negroni” Bicycle Ride benefiting the Helen David Relief Fund in partnership with the United States Bartenders’ Guild is coming June 2. We are looking to raise funds to assist women in the bar industry who are fighting breast cancer.
On Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015 a group of bartenders and Negroni aficionados will be riding from the Campari America offices at 1255 Battery St. in Levi Plaza, San Francisco for a 43 mile bike ride to Tiburon and back. For those looking for a shorter tour, the ride can be cut in half by taking the Tiburon Ferry back to San Francisco and still receive an incredible team uniform (limited sizes and availability…so sign up soon!)
Each rider will be donating a minimum of $250 to the Helen David Relief Fund (a 501c3 charity) through the USBG’s National Charity Foundation.
About Helen David Relief Fund
Tony Abou-Ganim founded the Helen David Relief Fund in honor of his aunt, Helen David. Beating breast cancer twice during her life, Helen David is an inspiration to those living with the disease. In her name, the HDRF assists women in the bar industry who are fighting breast cancer with the same dignity and courage that Helen exemplified throughout her battle and life as a business owner in the bar industry.
About Negroni Week
In the summer of 2013, Imbibe Magazine launched Negroni Week, a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charitable causes around the world. Now in its third year, Imbibe has teamed up with Campari again to present Negroni Week 2015. From June 1-7, retailers, bars and restaurants around the world will be mixing Negronis and selling Negroni-related items while donating a portion of proceeds from each sale to a charity of their choice. For more information, including a list of participating bars and upcoming events, visit www.negroniweek.com and follow the hashtag #NegroniWeek.
